2025 March for Life Broadcast News Story

This January, I had the opportunity to attend the March for Life with Regent University's Students for Life in Washington, DC. It was one of the most incredible experiences that I have had. It was so powerful to stand up for something that I so strongly believe in and do so along with tens of thousands of other people. This video is just a short description and coverage of the event in the style of a news broadcast. Please enjoy!

Travel with me to Italy!

In the summer of 2023, I had the joy of travelling with some of my family to Italy for ten days! We travelled to Rome first, and then Florence, and finally the lakes region: Lake Cuomo specifically. It was so much fun, and I would recommend traveling there to anyone who has the chance. This short blog post is going to focus on our time in Rome! (AP Photo/Leah Alden) Rome is full of history and culture, both new and old. A travel website for Rome states that “Modern Rome presents an eclectic mix of the traditional and the contemporary.” Rome is a great place to visit old architecture and landmarks such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. The clear blue water of the Trevi Fountain is overlooked by sculptures of Greek gods, Poseidon in the center. June 14, 2023 in Rome, Italy. Regent's Students For Life Celebrates Valentine's Day!!

Valentine's Day Dance 2025!   The Students for Life Organization at Regent University goes to the March for Life every January to support the unborn. They take a bus every year, which they have to pay for themselves, so throughout the year they put on events to raise money for the bus. On February 7, 2025, they put on a Valentine’s Day Dance in order to raise money for the 2026 bus. The event took place in the lobby of Robertson Hall on Regent’s campus, from 7:30 to 11:00 in the evening and was open to the whole campus! It was ten dollars a ticket, or fifteen if you brought a date. The Students For Life Organization has faced many hardships this past school year, including last minute issues with the bus and issues with putting up posters on campus to advertise their events, but they were able to get a good turnout at the event anyways. There was food prepared by the board members and their friends, as well as different Valentine’s Day activities and a photo backdrop. They played m...

Gratitude in the Day to Day

Gratitude! I really want to take some time to talk about gratitude, and its importance especially in the context of James 1:17. It is so easy in today’s culture to take our lives and our gifts for granted, and even expect them. I know for me personally, I take the day to day gifts for granted way too often, like my fully stocked pantry and my warm bed with heating to protect me from the cold.  Thank you Jesus for the Little Things: I think that, as Christians, we are called to gratitude for the little things. James 1:17 says that “every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17, ESV). I think this verse is an amazing reminder that every time anything good happens to us, it is from the Lord and it is a gift we should thank Him for! It is easy to take the good for granted and complain when things get difficult or complicated, but I think we need to flip that around. Gratitude Journaling One way to be more grateful is to practice gratitude journaling ! It is such an ...
